A Santhali Tribal Women Weaving Society
About us
Marsal Prathmik Bunkar Sahyog Samiti is a tribal weaving society run by the Santhali community in Kajri, Hazaribagh Jharkhand. Formed by local villagers with a shared dream, Marsal was born to revive the fading tradition of cotton handloom and provide sustainable livelihoods to rural women. Today, Marsal stands as a symbol of unity, culture, and empowerment, weaving stories of tradition into every thread.
Our Mission
Our mission is to preserve and promote tribal weaving traditions, while creating dignified livelihoods for Santhali women through cotton handloom. By combining heritage with innovation, we aim to revive cotton culture in rural India and empower communities to achieve self-reliance.
